Bryan/College Station and the surrounding areas possess an abundance of beautiful neighborhoods making the region an attractive place to live and raise a family while enjoying the cultural benefits of close proximity to a major university. Here are a few of our favorites:

  • Carter’s Crossing, College Station – this 40 acre community is located in the center of College Station, but isolated from most of the heavily traveled highways around the city. Many of the custom homes in the neighborhood range in size from 2000 to 2600 square feet and have been constructed by some of the finest homebuilders in the area. The community has seven acres dedicated for a future city park. Carter’s Crossing is served by College Hills Elementary School and Oakwood Intermediate School.
  • Indian Lakes, College Station – if you’re looking for a community where your family can commune with nature, look no further Indian Lakes features one to three acre home sites and attractive custom homes located on the shores of Lake Arapaho. The community has equestrian trails, tennis and basketball courts, and a resort style pool where your family can lounge away weekend afternoons. Younger (and young at heart!) family members may enjoy the fishing pond and everyone can take advantage of gazing at the abundant wildlife in the area.
  • Creek Meadows, College Station – this custom home neighborhood is part of a master planned community that features small businesses and professional services as well as many beautiful houses. Creek Meadows offers pools, sports courts, playing fields, ponds, and even wildlife viewing areas for the annual Whooping Crane migration. Greens Prairie Elementary School opened for students in 2011 and Cypress Grove Intermediate School is close by.
  • Duck Haven, College Station – if your idea of perfection is a beautiful custom home shaded by large oak trees where you can watch wildlife stroll by, you may want to live in Duck Haven. The community has been designed to blend in with the natural surroundings and has strict restrictive covenants to ensure it remains that way. Homes must be a minimum of 1800 square feet. This neighborhood features a pond and several pet friendly parks for quiet Texas style country living.
  • Saddle Creek, College Station – if you can picture large country lots dotted with stylish custom homes in an exclusive community, you have a pretty good idea of what Saddle Creek is all about. It’s far enough outside the center of College Station to provide a little privacy, but close enough for an easy commute. The neighborhood has a park, pool, basketball court, and athletic fields and even features a pavilion for summer get-togethers. Homes must be at least 2350 square feet and 80 percent masonry. Saddle Creek is served by Greens Prairie Elementary School which opened in 2011 and Cypress Grove Intermediate School.

For many families, Texas is about wide open spaces and enjoying nature. For others it’s about taking advantage of the best life has to offer. If your idea of a walking trail is strolling between the holes of an exclusive golf course, then these next two communities will make great choices. Both offer country club style living and high-end custom homes.

  • Traditions, Bryan – how many people do you know who live on a Jack Nicklaus designed golf course? You can count yourself if you purchase a lot and have a custom home built in The Traditions, one of Bryan’s most exclusive communities. The challenging golf course is used as the home base for the Texas A&M golf team and has the Aggie Golf Learning Center located nearby if you’re just taking up the game or need to work a few bugs out of your swing. Traditions also has three resort style swimming pools, walking paths, and even a neighborhood grill for those evenings when you don’t feel like cooking. Architectural styles and building materials are strictly governed in this neighborhood and minimum house sizes are mandated for each lot.
  • Pebble Creek, College Station – this neighborhood has woodlands, streams, ponds, and best of all – a championship 18 hole golf course. The course features four different tee locations for each hole and was designed by well known course architect Ken Dye. But that’s just one part of this gorgeous community; there are also some of the most distinctive custom homes in College Station. Each lot has a minimum size requirement for the house that will occupy it and there are standards for the amount of masonry on each residence, the roof pitches, and even the type and amount of landscaping for each home. Of course every member of your family may not golf; the community also has fishing ponds, jogging trails, tennis and basketball courts, and several parks.
  • Cedar Ridge, Bryan – Cedar Ridge at Greenbrier offers culdesac living minutes from prestigious Allen Academy, Rudder High School, Mitchell Elementary, Miramont Country Club, popular restaurants, and fantastic shopping.  Enjoy oversized lots, natural vegetation in a neighborhood exclusive to only three of Bryan – College Stations’ most respected home builders.
